MIKE COLLINS LEADS NEAREST REPUBLICAN PRIMARY COMPETITOR TWO-TO-ONE
Jackson, Georgia β Today, a new poll shows Conservative Workhorse Mike Collins with a two-to-one lead over his closest primary challenger and leading failed and fired football coach Derek Dooley by 20 points.
The survey, conducted by Public Opinion Strategies among 600 likely GOP primary voters from January 13β15, 2026, with a margin of error of Β±4.0%, shows six-month polling frontrunner Mike Collins growing his lead to 32% support and Buddy Carter falling to 16%. Perennial third-place candidate Derek Dooley is trailing the leader by more than three touchdowns, polling at 12%.
The poll shows that Collinsβ authentic, MAGA message is resonating with a confident and pro-Trump Georgia Republican primary electorate. Two-thirds (67%) of likely GOP primary voters say things in Georgia are headed in the right direction, while 84% approve of President Trump, including 61% who strongly approve.

Despite outsized spending by his opponents and being the top target of Democratic campaign arms, Collinsβ bipartisan track record of delivering results for Georgians and his reputation as a conservative workhorse make him the clear and unquestionable frontrunner in the race to defeat Jon Ossoff.
